Blatant Lies began with stills taken from the artist’s childhood home movies—grainy fragments of family life that carry the weight of memory. These moments were regenerated using AI, allowing the machine to reinterpret and reshape the past. The resulting images are uncanny: plausible, familiar, and emotionally charged—but never quite real.

By introducing artificial intelligence into personal visual history, the series complicates how we remember, perceive, and trust images. It asks what happens when memory is mediated not only by emotion, but by technology—and whether authenticity still holds meaning in a world where anything can be convincingly (re)created.
