About
Tommy Feiler is a Canadian visual artist based in Wellington, Prince Edward County. Working primarily in photography, his practice explores the intersections of image, language, memory, and perception. Through lens-based work that ranges from carefully constructed photographs to archival imagery, he examines how photographs both preserve and distort our understanding of the past.
Feiler received his MFA in Interdisciplinary Art, Media and Design from OCAD University. His work is informed by semiotics, media culture, and an ongoing interest in the emotional and social meanings embedded within everyday images. Rather than presenting fixed narratives, his photographs invite multiple interpretations, encouraging viewers to reconsider the ways meaning is created through looking.
